If you are heading to a Halloween party this year, there are a few things that you’ll need.  The first is a “killer” costume and, of course, an unexpected party treat to share with friends. Materials You’ll Need for a Pumpkin Bong

•  A medium to large pumpkin
• A carving knife and smaller detailing tools
• A downstem and bowl (often made of glass)
• A drill with a drill bit matching the size of your downstem
• A plastic or silicone sealant
• A screen for the bowl
• Weed

How to Make a Pumpkin Bong

Carve a Hole for the Downstem

Decide where you want to place the downstem on the pumpkin. It should be at a slight angle so the downstem goes down into the pumpkin, not straight through the side. Mark the location, and then carefully drill a hole using the drill with the appropriate bit size. Make sure the hole is snug but not too tight for the downstem.

Cut Off the Top

Using your carving knife, carefully cut off the top of the pumpkin, creating a lid. This lid will be where you place your mouth when using the pumpkin bong, so make sure it’s large enough.

Hollow Out the Pumpkin

Remove the seeds and pulp from the inside of the pumpkin. You want to create a clean and spacious cavity for the smoke to pass through. You can use your hands or a scoop for this.

Attach the Downstem

Insert the downstem into the hole you’ve drilled. If it’s a bit loose, you can use a plastic or silicone sealant to create an airtight seal around the downstem and the hole.

Add a Glass Bowl and Screen

Attach a bowl to the end of the downstem on the outside of the pumpkin. Place a screen in the bowl to prevent weed from falling through.

Replace the Lid

Put the pumpkin lid back on top, aligning it with the hole you cut earlier.

Test and Use

Make sure everything is securely in place, and then load the bowl with your desired amount of weed. Light it while inhaling from the top of the pumpkin. Be sure to inhale slowly and not to overheat the pumpkin or the downstem.

Instructions
